Perth, West Australia || 5D 4N Trip (Pt.1)

by - Monday, July 16, 2018

I used to think that Perth is boring compared to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney but after a long research, I discovered that Perth has quite a lot to offer actually. Our 5 days trip isn't enough to explore Perth. Sadly, we have to skip certain places. We went to Perth on August, 2017 and it was during Winter season.

In Perth, we stayed at East Cannington, Kak Sarah Pahmi and Abg Syed's house.We paid A$ 200 for 4 nights. Breakfast included.
Whilst, for the airport transfer, we paid Abg Syed A$60 for pick up and send.

p/s: I think Kak Sarah and Abg Syed dah pindah rumah.

Total budget for accommodation & airport transfer:

1. Accommodation - A$200  || MYR 600+ (4 nights)
2. Airport Transfer - A$ 60 || MYR 180+ (pickup & send)

Gedebuk gedebak dalam MYR 780-800 total for accommodation and airport transfer.

We rented a car at ARIES CAR RENTAL. And, the owner is from Malaysia.

Day 1: THE PINNACLES DESERT

Distance traveled from East Cannington (our accommodation) to The Pinnacles Desert is 205km, it took us about 2 and a half hours of driving.

If you're a nature-lover, you will absolutely love this unique view! Tell me, dekat mana lagi korang nak jumpa view batu-batu unique macamni? Umm, takde.
So, it is "a-must-visit" place then. Hihi

Entrance fee to the Nambung National Park ni tak silap A$11 per car. Dalam (+-)MYR 33

Talk about the weather or season, I will say "not recommended during summer or hot sunny day". Because surely it's going to be blazing hot, you'll get tan or sunburn and obviously you won't enjoy the view here.

The last picture tu (my dad lompat from the Pinnacles). PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW.
Why?

First, ada few DO NOT signboards there yang bagitahu kita not allow to climb the pinnacles. Apa orang cakap, something like khazanah alam yang kena jaga lah. But my dad insisted to jump from the "small" pinnacle tu jugak and wanted a picture of him terbang

And after that "stunt" action, his legs cramped. :') Tu lah tak dengar kata.

Day 1: LOBSTER SHACK CERVANTES

Yeap, still in Day 1 because we only spent 30-40mins je dekat The Pinnacles Desert and then straight to Lobster Shack Cervantes. From The Pinnacles Desert to here, cuma 30 mins driving.

Haa, nak makan lobster murah dekat Australia (murah ke?) and gravy dia nice,here is the place. Since it is quite far from town and hard to find halal foods there,so this is the place yang you boleh cuba.

Look at how cozy the place is. After a long drive, I think this is the best place for you to chill. Mom and dad were enjoying their foods. Yummayh!

Price for 1 Chinese Fried Rice + 1 Small lobster : (+-) A$ 40 || (+-) MYR 120
Box of chips: Small A$ 3 and Large A$ 6.

There are 3 different sizes of lobster (Small, Large, Jumbo). So, the price is based on the size you choose. And you can either choose the Grilled Lobster or  the Steamed one.

p/s: When I wrote "far from town" and "hard to find halal foods" up there, I really meant it. 👇

Day 1: LANCELIN SAND DUNES

Our last stop is the famous sand boarding at Lancelin Sand Dunes, yayy! Upon reaching there, you would wonder how and where to rent a sand board for the sand dunes? Fret not, along the way to the sand dunes, there are few general stores if i'm not mistaken yang provide the rental service for sand board.

But yeah, don't be like us. We thought there would be few stores near to the sand dunes yang provide the rental service but sadly, takde ok. But fret not, near to sand dunes ada mini lorry with a small banner written "rent sand board here". We were just so lucky by that time because we got to rent the LAST sand board. Or else, bye bye sand boarding~

They provide rental service at A$ 10 per sand board for 2 hours, which is more than enough. Not necessary to rent one sand board per person, because one sand board is enough for 3 of us. You can just take turns to use it. Lebih jimat.

Important tip: When you rent a sand board, they will provide you with a wax. Before you slide down, make sure fully wax the back of the sand board, or else kau sekat sekat lah nak slide down dekat pasir tu.

It was so tiring sebab kena mendaki sikit, which is not easy sebab pasir jerlus kan. So, our leg jadi lagi berat nak mendaki. After 5 times I naik and slide down, then I gave up. Muscle kaki dah start nak cramp.

But overall, it was one of the great and fun experiences I must say. 'Twas totally worth the time.
